how culture can shape society
primary source photos
I went into this photoshoot to create a similar scene to that of the photos shot by Franklin Rodgers. I used different lighting arrangements including natural and unnatural light. I used natural sunlight to create the first two photos and edited them to sharpen and focus on the features of my model. I meticulously chose her outfit to fit those of the other celebrities chosen by Rodgers. With the other photos, I chose to use a spotlight with shapes cut out in front of them to create the same feel as the Peckham Portrait's bending of light. I'm really happy with the outcome of these photos as I tried to focus on the main features of the face to create a soft, yet detailed, picture. Moving forward I aim to research an artist which can help me to comprise high-quality paintings based on these photos.
